I have a fondness for fungi and wanted to include these in my installation. I am also concerned about the materials I use and reed and paper seemed a good choice along with glues/adhesives from thoughtful companies like Gorilla Glue.
To help guide people through my maze of clothes, mushroom lights were one of the first plans for my project. I had never made anything large from reed and paper so there was a bit of trial and error before the construction flowed more easily. Here are images of the mushrooms in process.
